Lee
Lee Roy Selmon blends the advantages of a scholarship to football in his family with the benefits of community service. The first family is his youngest of nine children of Lucious Selmon and Jessie raised on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. Another reason for his football career was that he is the youngest of three brothers who played with Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-America. The year was 1973. Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy was named the most offensive lineman in the country by Outland as well as Lombardi Awards. During his three years as the Oklahoma's quarterback of choice and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and won two national titles. Selmon was a National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was awarded an award for his third time in the year 1975. Selmon obtained his diploma in education. Fourth-year service in the college Lee Roy devoted ten hours per week to volunteer projects. He moved to Tampa after graduation, and was a member of the Buccaneers for nine years and played three times in the all-pro league. The business venture he started began. The first position he held was an Account Relation Officer at First Florida Bank, Tampa. In the past, he worked previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There was no doubt that, in 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of the 10 young stars throughout the United States. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 6'2 inches. In his time at college, he was the captain of the 1975 team. In 1993, he was a part of his current position at University of South Florida as associate director of athletics. The College Football Hall of Fame was named for the player in 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation awarded their Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Jr. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma awarded it.
